Transforming Raven Bentwood Box

The world was in darkness, and an old man on the Nass River kept the Sun, Moon, and Stars for himself. The old man kept the sun, moon and stars in Bentwood Boxes. Raven wanted them, so he came up with a plan. Raven transformed into a pine needle, and floated down the Nass River. The old man’s daughter scooped up some water along with the pine needle that was Raven, and drank it. She became pregnant and gave birth to a child that was Raven. Raven would cry for the bentwood boxes that contained the Sun, Moon, and Stars. The old man finally gave in to appease him, and to stop him from crying, he gave him the box containing the moon. Raven (in human form), knocked over the box, the lid came off, and the mooncame out and flew up into the sky thru the smokehole. Raven began crying once again, pointing at the box containing the stars. The old man gave it to him, and Raven again knocked it over, the lid came off, and the stars shot up into the sky. Raven began crying again, this time pointing to the box containing the Sun. The old man gave it to Raven. He knocked it over, the lid came off and the sun came out. This time, he transformed back into Raven, and took the sun into his beak and flew up thru the smokehole. Raven released the sun into the sky, and from this point on we no longer lived in darkness.
