65th Annual Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market

My Booth Setup - Heard Museum

The 65th Annual Heard Museum Indian Fair and Market took place this past weekend in Phoenix, AZ. Friday evening was the Artist Awards reception at the museum. I was actually snowboarding at Sunrise Ski Resort when my wife called and said my name is on the list for winning an award, I better come down off the mountain to make it to the reception.

Artists Awards Reception on Friday Night - Native American Arts Magazine

The Heard Museum does an amazing job with their presentation for events, it was overwhelming walking into the reception. Great to see a lot of people excited about indigenous art and culture. Happy to connect with so many people. Always nice to see Adolfo and Robin from Native American Art Magazine, I have had 2 artist features with the mag. Thank you for everything.

Wolf Headdress - 2nd Place Diverse Arts

The Wolf Headdress placed 2nd in the Diverse Arts Division, really honored to receive an award. I love submitting traditional Tlingit pieces for juried shows, pieces that can exist seamlessly within our culture a thousand years ago. The “art” of our ancestors was on an incredibly high level, something we are striving to reach today. Judging is subjective, but I am happy to put Tlingit art out there to be seen by masses. Happy that our “art” receives this recognition. Truly an honor.

Zach Feuer and Rachel Martin - Forge Project NY

Zach Feuer and Rachel Martin, Forge Project New York. They acquired the Wolf Mask for their collection, incredible people and the work they’re doing is inspiring. I’m happy this piece is heading to great people. Check out @forgeprojectny and @zachfeuer.
